Statement 

The Synergy Center 
philosophy 
includes a 
belief in the  potential 
productivity of the most severely disabled person.  It assets that work, 
especially the opportunity to aspire to and achieve gainful employment, is a deeply regenerative and reintegrating force in the life of every human being.  As a parallel concept to that of the importance of work, men and women 
require opportunities to be 
together socially.  The Synergy Center provides a place for social interchange, relaxation, and 
social support on

Happy New Year Greetings!  It should be a wonderful year for Clubhouse.

On Jan 24th Case Management moved to the second floor of the new building on 1380 Roanoke Avenue.  Many renovations will be done to the new building.  Therefore, it will be a while until Synergy moves to the 1st floor.

Synergy Center has a new car.  It’s a Dodge Caravan.  Case management has also received two new vehicles.

The holidays may have been very stressful for a lot of people.  It’s important at this time to be tranquil. The journey starts with you.  You have your voice in the world.  Your body, your voice, and your spirit.  Be optimistic.

PROS Mutuality is essential.  All Clubhouse programs must do well to ensure increased funding.  We all must work together to help each other solve problems.  Communication between practitioners is essential not only for PROS reimbursement, but for member/client 
recovery as well.
Case Managers Suzette, John, and Erin are working with people in adult homes.  Three new Case Manager positions are opening if projected increase of 90 residents served happens by spring.

Michael Piccinone is the new assistant director for Clubhouse Case Management.
Case management has earned a rate increase due to its outstanding work.

Homeless Outreach Projects are going to happen. One of the priorities will be to find appropriate housing for people staying at the Jamesport Motel through the 
Department of Social services.

Wendy is celebrating her 13th year at Clubhouse.
Stu has left us.  Stu has worked at Clubhouse for 12 years and will be greatly missed.

Computer Classes continue Tuesdays and Thursdays at Synergy courtesy of the Peconic Community Council.  
Open to the public.
4:30 - 6:30pm English
 7:00 - 9:00pm Spanish

Peer Specialist training is happening soon at Synergy.
